Seopjikoji
섭지코지
Great cape overlooking Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone
A headland with spectacular natural scenery. It is known as 'Seopjikoji' after combining the Jeju dialect words for narrow land, 'Seopji' and 'koji' for headland, and was named one of the 50 must-see destinations in Korea by CNN in the United States. It is well-known for its numerous rock formations along the shoreline and the view of Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone beyond the shoreline. In the spring, canola blossoms in full bloom make for an excellent photo opportunity, and the Koji House, a converted building used as a nunnery in the drama 'All In,' is a favorite among visitors.
