Bupyeong Kkangtong Market
부평 깡통 시장
Must-see food tour destination with a night market opening every night of the week
Busan's premier nighttime tourist attraction, which was the first traditional market to feature a night food market. It earned the name Kkangtong (can) because it used to trade many canned goods from nearby US military units. While the market has many stores selling meat, vegetables, seafood, and miscellaneous goods, it is best known for its popular eateries, Leegane Tteokbokki and Geoin Tongdak. The covered arcade between the buildings allows visitors to enjoy the food tour regardless of the weather. At the night market, the stalls sell everything from street food to desserts, including Bibim Dangmyeon (spicy glass noodles), Ssiat Hotteok (sweet pancakes with seeds filling), teppanyaki ice cream, and more.
