국립 현대 미술관 서울
Visit a modern art museum built on a site steeped in history and culture
Perfect place to kick back and relax
This museum was constructed on the grounds of a Joseon Dynasty government office. Gyeonggeundang and Okcheopdang Hall, both restored Jongchinbu (Office of Royal Genealogy) buildings, are located in the building, creating a unique blend of modern and old architecture. Today, the museum hosts a diverse range of art exhibitions in all forms and genres, including photography, sculpture, fine art, and media, and provides a vibrant cultural life. There is also an art bookstore with museum publications, a cute souvenir shop, a cafe, and a large lawn, making it an ideal place to spend time with family and loved ones. A shuttle bus connects Gwacheon and Deoksugung Palace, making it easy to visit all three museums.
