Wonderful place to relax with plenty to see and do
An 18-kilometer man-made canal connecting the West Sea and Hangang River, it was built to allow for fast cargo delivery by boat. The canal is lined with neat walking paths and parks, making it a popular place to relax and take in the beautiful scenery, or take a cruise to see the sights. Along the way, there are various attractions such as Ara Falls, the largest man-made waterfall in Korea, Ara Tower Observatory, where you can watch the beautiful sunset, and Sicheon Garam Place, where a kayak festival is held. It is also the starting point of the 663 km nationwide cycling route that runs from the Hangang River to Busan, and many people enjoy cycling because of its well-maintained cycling paths.
