Bukchon Hanok Village

A well-known Hanok village in Seoul. In the past, it was the residence of high-ranking officials of the Joseon Dynasty, and the old roads and waterways used at that time now remain the same. The split of large mansions has led to the establishment of a large number of small-scale Hanoks since the 1900s, and it has evolved to suit modern life, such as attaching glass doors to Daecheong (wooden-floored hall), maintaining the aesthetics of traditional Hanok architecture. With galleries, cafés, and workshops moving in, more and more people are visiting, and many people take a walk or take commemorative photos in search of the "Eight Scenic Views of Bukchon," where they can see the beautiful scenery of Seoul along with quiet alleys. However, there are residents living in the village, so tourist visits are allowed between 10 AM and 5 PM under the red zone policy.
