Woljeonggyo Bridge
월정교
Shilla-era wooden bridge that’s more romantic by night
A stunning wooden bridge dating back to the Unified Silla period, Woljeonggyo is a must-visit photo spot in Gyeongju. Though destroyed during the Joseon Dynasty, it was fully restored in April 2018. On the second floor of the gate pavilion at the bridge entrance, visitors can explore the Woljeonggyo Exhibition Hall, which showcases excavated relics and details of the bridge's reconstruction. While the bridge is picturesque during the day—with its vibrant dancheong colors, tiled roof, blue sky, and flowing stream—it’s especially magical at night, when the entire structure is softly illuminated. For the best photo angle, head to the stepping stones in front of the bridge!
