Shakespeare��s tale of Romeo and Juliet is known the world over, and Kenneth MacMillan, one of the foremost choreographers of the 20th century, has produced a ballet production of this story that has already survived the test of time, and will surely remain in the classical ballet repertory for centuries to come, joining the likes of Giselle and Swan Lake.
Behind the drama of the choreography is the score by Sergei Prokofiev, exquisitely capturing the passion of the two young lovers, the conflict between their families and the anguish of their untimely tragic deaths.
