However, during the Japanese colonial period, 90 percent of Gyeongbukgung Palace disappeared. But Gyeonghoeru and Hyangwonjeong pond, representative structures of the Joseon Dynasty, remain intact, and the woldae and statues of Geunjeong hall represent the sculptural art of that time, making it the No.1 tourist destination. Although it has a painful history of many buildings demaged by fire and forces, it is well preserving the value of Gyeongbukgung Palace through continous restoration work. ※ Tuesday is a holiday at Gyeongbokgung Palace and will be replaced by Deoksugung Palace.  ▶National Folk Museum National Folk Museum is a representative life history museum in Korea that shows folk culture of Korea as it studies, preserves, and exhibits life from the ancestors to our daily lives today. It is one of the easiest places to explain Korean history and culture to foreigners. ▶Jogyesa Temple  Enjoy a peaceful time at Jogyesa Temple, the center of Korean Buddhism. ▶Changdeokgung Palace Changdeokgung Palace is the only Korean palace listed as a World Heritage Site and is praised for its beautiful scenery and design. In particular, the garden which occupies half of Changdeokgung Palace, shows the beauty of traditional Korean gardens.
