Hwarangdae Railroad Park
화랑대 철도 공원
Feel nostalgic about a bygone era in a park
This modern train station is located in the city center and is now a park with lots to see. Actual trains from the past, as well as trains from the Czech Republic and Japan, are on display along the roadside, and the inside of the trains have been converted into cafes and libraries. The park is popular with families traveling with children, as you can take a stroll along the Gongneung Gyeongchun Line forest trail, which boasts lush greenery, or experience the train station of the past at the Whistle Stop Exhibition Hall. At night, the colorful illuminations of the Nowon Light Garden, which is decorated with various themes, are a great place to take pictures.
