Kangkangee Arts Village

The birthplace of the modern shipbuilding industry, where Korea's first modern shipyard was established. It was transformed into a vibrant mural village through a major project in 2016. This shipyard town was once so famous that it was said, "There is no ship that cannot be repaired here." The word "Kangkangee" refers to the sound made when a ship is repaired. Visitors can enjoy taking photos in front of the colorful murals on the walls, embark on the 'Kankangee Cruise Ship' for a beautiful panoramic view of Busan Port, and join the 'Kankangee Village Tour' to learn about the town's modern industrial heritage and maritime culture with a guide. However, please be mindful that some of the repair shipyards are still in operation, so refrain from taking photos or going inside these areas without permission.
