Retreat with plenty to see and do
This 140,000-square-meter urban park encompasses five themes: memory, culture, participation, nature, and enjoyment. It was previously utilized as a U.S. military base in Busan, but was returned to Korea in 2010 and revitalized as a park in 2014. Visitors can bask in the city's greenery while relaxing at the artificial waterfall, cherry blossom walkway, and grassy plaza. Numerous facilities representing the five themes include the Park History Center, showcasing modern and contemporary Korean history, the Cultural Arts Village, which transformed from the former U.S. military sergeants' quarters, and Song Sang-hyeon Square, the largest city square in Korea. Moreover, the Cultural Arts Village offers craft experiences with artists in various fields such as printmaking and ceramics, making it a popular civic park with a plethora of attractions and activities.
