Chinatown

Small China in Busan, filled with exotic sights like red lanterns hanging along the streets and the dragon-carved Shanghai Gate. Originally where the Qing Dynasty's consulate was located in the late 19th century, it naturally became a neighborhood for Chinese people. There are many restaurants specializing in dumplings, including 'Jangseonghyang,' the dumpling restaurant that the main protagonist in the movie, "Oldboy" was looking for. The restaurants offer various other dishes such as Jajangmyeon (noodles in blackbean sauce), Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), and maralongsha. Every fall, the Chinatown Special Economic Zone Cultural Festival is held, where visitors can enjoy traditional Chinese performances and diverse food options.
