Changgyeonggung Palace
창경궁
Explore traditional palace from the Joseon Dynasty in modern Seoul
A place where you can enjoy the day and night of the palace
This palace was built at the Suganggung Palace site in the 14th year of King Seongjong's reign. It was destroyed and rebuilt several times before assuming its current appearance. Myeongjeongjeon Hall, National Treasure No. 226 in the palace's center, was used for official events such as crowning ceremonies and civil service exams. Despite its diminutive size, it exudes elegance and dignity. In addition, due to its unique atmosphere, the Grand Greenhouse, Korea's first Western-style flower garden, is a popular photo spot. Furthermore, you can explore the magnificent palace by walking along the dense forest path, or you can visit the place at night to enjoy the history as well as the beautiful atmosphere.
