Visit a wetland created by volcanic lava flows
This wetland area was formed by lava flows from a volcanic eruption and is distinguished by its Gokjawal terrain. It was designated as a Jeju Natural Monument in 1981 and a Ramsar site in 2011, ensuring its protection alongside other wetlands worldwide. Along the walking path, you can see a large pond called Munmulkak, which means "distant water," as well as camellia trees, Castanopsis sieboldii, Machilus thunbergii, Korean dendropanax, and many other trees, which attract many visitors who enjoy exploring the ecosystem.
