Visit a museum showcasing the work of Heojun, author of the Dongui Bogam, and the history of Chinese medicine
A facility dedicated to honoring the achievements of a leading Joseon Dynasty physician. Here, you can learn about Heojun, who wrote the Dongui Bogam, which is considered the best Korean medical book and has been designated as a national treasure. The museum also offers a combined ticket to visit the Gyeomjae Jeongseon Art Museum which features works by late Joseon painters.
The museum's exhibits on Heojun's life, herbs, and traditional medicine tools make it a great place to learn about the history. The museum also offers several experiential programs, including making character soap, cookies, and Dongui Bogam, which are popular with families with children.
