Temple stays in a historic temple to cultivate oneself
This historic temple was founded in 678 by monk Uisang during the unified Silla Dynasty. The temple, which was destroyed by fire during the Imjin War, was restored and expanded in the 17th century to its current form. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of pine trees and five-colored lanterns that have been standing for more than a hundred years, and you can also find valuable cultural assets such as the Beomeosa Temple's three-story stone pagoda and Beomeosa Temple's Daeungjeon Hall, which are designated as treasures, making it one of the top three temples in Yeongnam. If you make a reservation in advance through the website, you can stay in the temple and experience activities such as making lanterns.
