Excellent place to go to soak up the brilliant fall colors
The Joseon Dynasty's kings and queens farmed here. The pond was forcibly created by the Japanese in the early 1900s, but it has since been rebuilt in traditional Korean style. The pond, located in Changgyeonggung Palace, is an excellent location for photographing colorful cherry blossoms in the spring, red maples in the fall, and white snow in the winter, and the illumination at night adds to the picturesque atmosphere. The small island in the middle of the pond, in particular, is home to beautiful Mandarin ducks and a popular photo location.
