Gaehangjang (Open Port Area) Street

A road full of buildings with an opening port-era's atmosphere in the late 19th century. You can look around the Korea-China Cultural Center to Sinpo International Market and Incheon China Town. Modern buildings such as banks, summer cottages, and hotels built by the Japanese and Chinese remain and show the painful history of the Japanese Colonial Period. There are various cafés and restaurants along the street, so you can enjoy food or rent clothes from the enlightenment period at clothing rental shops and take exotic photos of yourself. An annual celebration, "Incheon Open Port Culture Heritage Night," opens cultural assets late into the night and hosts a variety of experiential activities, including a "historical walking tour" where participants may explore the streets with a cultural commentator.
