Squid Game Season 2 Filming Locations Revealed!

The original Netflix series Squid Game took the world by storm in 2019. Now, it's back with a new season, and all the episodes were released on Dec 26, 2024. Just 2 days after its release, Squid Game Season 2 topped the charts in 93 countries, including the US, France, Mexico, the UK and Hongkong. The BIG question is, where was Squid Game 2 filmed in Korea? 👀

🎬 EP 01 Bread and Lottery - The very first scene of Episode 1, where Gi-hun refuses to board the plane and then receives a call from the Front Man. Gi-hun leaves the airport after the Front Man advises him not to defy his orders. ☑️ The scene was filmed at Terminal 1 of Incheon International Airport, the largest airport in Korea, which handles more than 80% of international flights. So, if you're coming to Korea, you'll be visiting the filming location of S2!

🎬 EP 01 Bread and Lottery - This is the restaurant where the Senior Inspector asks Junho to return to the Major Crimes Division, telling him that, without any evidence, the search for the mysterious island cannot continue. ☑️ This is a classic Chinese restaurant that serves typical delicacies, including Jajangmyeon (짜장면), Jjamppong (짬뽕), Tangsuyuk (탕수육), and Japchae Bap (잡채밥). It's a 4 min walk from Chungmu-ro Station, Exit 7.

🎬 EP 01 Bread and Lottery - After purchasing 100 pieces of bread, the Recruiter stops at a small shop to buy 100 scratch-off lottery tickets. ☑️ The price of one lottery ticket ranges from KRW 500! You can buy them at small shops or convenience stores in Korea.

🎬 EP 04 Six Legs - Captain Park hears all about Gi-hun's secrets at the restaurant near the ocean, but the truth is he already knows everything 🤫 ☑️ This seafood restaurant right by the ocean offers a variety of dishes, such as flounder and rockfish sashimi, grilled shellfish, seafood ramyeon, and a special marinated whole grilled rockfish.

All the iconic game scenes from Squid Game Season 1, such as the tug-of-war, dalgona candy-making, and marbles, were filmed here at the Studio Cube.
