Where Do K-POP Idols Run in Seoul?

Right now, there’s a running boom sweeping not just Korea but the entire world. Did you know that SEVENTEEN DOKYEOM, EXO SUHO, NewJeans DANIELLE, and ASTRO CHA EUNWOO also enjoy running along the Han River? We’ve gathered the Han River running spots favored by K-Pop artists, along with nearby tourist attractions. Come and explore the Han River and nature loved by the stars! 🍀

1️⃣ SEVENTEEN DOKYEOM

📍Seongsu Bridge - Seongsu Pedestrian Bridge

The running spot we ID'd from SEVENTEEN DOKYEOM's instagram account is Seongsu Bridge. He dropped a selfie on his Instagram Story, and the beautiful night view of Seongsu Bridge he posted with it looked totally amazing!

Near DOKYEOM's running spot at Seongsu Bridge is the Seongsu Pedestrian Bridge. It's located just about 300 meters from Seoul Forest, one of hotspots in Seoul. When you climb up the Seongsu Pedestrian Bridge, you can view both Seongsu Bridge and the stunning Seoul skyline at sunset! Try to arrive right as the sun goes down and stay until the lights on Seongsu Bridge turn on. You’ll be able to see the beautiful scenery that SEVENTEEN DOKYEOM ran through.

2️⃣ NJS DANIELLE

📍Banpo Bridge - Moonlight Rainbow Fountain

Now we bring our spotlight to NewJeans' DANIELLE! Danielle has been spotted running across the Jamsu Bridge (which runs beneath Banpo Bridge) alongside Sean, a famous Korean singer, and actor Park Bo-gum.

Jamsu Bridge is a famous tourist spot that even hosted SEVENTEEN’s 10th-anniversary concert! Every year from April to October, it becomes a top date spot, hosting the spectacular "Moonlight Rainbow Fountain" show, which is also the longest bridge fountain in the world. You can enjoy the fountain from a distance at Banpo Hangang Park, or you can run across Jamsu Bridge and fully enjoy the cool water splashing right over your head!

3️⃣ ASTRO CHA EUNWOO

📍Cheongdam Bridge - Ttukseom Hangang Park

ASTRO CHA EUNWOO enjoyed a Han River run with the night view of Lotte World Tower in the background. The exact spot where Cha Eunwoo enjoyed his run is near the southern end of Cheongdam Bridge, which connects Cheongdam-dong and Seongsu-dong.

If you cross to the northern end of Cheongdam Bridge, you'll find Ttukseom Hangang Park, one of the most popular Han River parks. It features a variety of spaces for fun, including convenience stores where you can enjoy the famous instant "Hangang Ramyeon," a swimming pool that operates in the summer, an outdoor climbing wall. It's also one of the perfect spots for a picnic.

4️⃣ EXO SUHO

📍Olympic Bridge - Olympic Park

Where did EXO SUHO, who enjoys running all around the world, choose as his Han River running spot? It is the area along the Han River that offers a view of Olympic Bridge, which was constructed to commemorate the 24th Seoul Olympics.

Did you know that KSPO Dome and Olympic Park, which countless K-Pop artists have performed, are located right near Olympic Bridge? This area is a special place for music fans, as it continues to host K-Pop concerts, music festivals, and more. Fitting its name as a "park," it offers not only concert venues but also photo spots like gardens where flowers bloom year-round, and the famous "Lonely Tree" (나홀로나무). Follow EXO SUHO's running course and experience both Seoul's nature and the history of K-Pop!
