Guide to Gimhae International Airport

Located in Busan, Gimhae International Airport is divided into domestic and international zones. The domestic flights connect to Jeju, Incheon, and Gimpo, among others. Here’s an introduction to the facilities at Gimhae International Airport.

Domestic flights have different regulations from international flights when it comes to carry-on items. Unlike international flights, where liquids must be 100 ml or less, domestic flights allow the carrying of all liquids. Additionally, bringing food items like fruit is permitted. Other regulations remain the same as for international flights.

There is no place to store luggage at Gimhae International Airport. Instead, luggage can be sent to hotels in different parts of Busan such as Seomyeon, Gwangalli, and Haeundae. You can also send it from your accommodation and pick it up at the airport.

On the 1st floor is a hospital for when you're feeling unwell, and on the 2nd floor is a pharmacy. If you suddenly feel ill or need medication, these facilities are available for your convenience.

A total of three rental car companies are located in the airport. If you didn't reserve a rental car before your arrival in Busan, visit these agencies.

Unlike the international terminal, the domestic terminal does not have lounges accessible with PP Cards. Both lounges are located in the general area before security, making them ideal to visit if you have a lot of time before your flight.

You can select 'Public WiFi FREE' from a mobile device such as a smartphone or laptop. It doesn’t matter which mobile carrier you use. Access the service immediately without any website registration or authentication procedures.

It takes about 30 minutes by car from Gimhae International Airport to Busan Station. In addition to taxis, you can also get to Busan Station by limousine bus and light rail. Note that the light rail requires two transfers to Busan Station.
