Jeju is home to stunning forests and a picturesque coastline. Throughout the year, the island hosts numerous flower festivals where you can enjoy plum blossoms, cherry blossoms, rape blossoms, and more. Let's explore some of these festivals that will make your trip to Jeju even more fulfilling.

The Hueree Nature Life Park hosts the earliest plum flower festival in the country every February, set amidst decades-old plum trees. During the festival, you can enjoy activities like horseback riding and animal feeding, making it a perfect destination for families with kids.

The Hueree Nature Life Park hosts hydrangea festivals in July and camellia festivals in November.

As the weather warms, Jeju is one of the first places in Korea to see cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, tulips, and other flowers. In March, flower festivals are held all over the island. Depending on the time of year and your preferences, you can choose a festival that suits you.

A festival where you can enjoy rape blossoms while walking around downtown Seogwipo. The festival is held from the end of March when the rape blossoms are in full bloom and you can see the bright yellow flowers to your heart's content. The course is divided into 5, 12, and 22 kilometers, so you can choose according to your physical condition, and passes by famous tourist spots such as Jeju World Cup Stadium, Oedolgae, and Cheonjiyeon Falls.

Paid participants will receive prizes such as a completion certificate and a t-shirt. You may join without a fee.

The rapeseed flower field at Noksan-ro is a famous driving route where you can see vibrant rape blossoms lining the road. During the blooming period, the road becomes car-free, allowing you to freely enjoy the blossoms. At the main venue, Jeju Horse Park, events like rape blossom cooking contests and rape oil pressing are held.

If you visit at the right time of year, you can witness a spectacular combination of rape blossoms and cherry blossoms.

Saryeoni Forest Trail hosts an interactive festival featuring a variety of activities such as ribbon tying, butterfly making, performances, and photo contests. The event includes a guided tour with experts who provide detailed explanations while walking the forest trail. Additionally, normally closed sections of the trail, like Mulchat Oreum and Seongpanak, are open to the public during the festival.

Arts festival held every summer at the Topdong Seaside Concert Hall. Since its inception in 1994, it has been running for over 25 years. Located on the beach, the festival offers a unique experience where you can enjoy various genres such as opera, rock, and folk performances while listening to the sound of the ocean. The 2,500-seat venue is popular because it allows you to enjoy performances by famous art organizations for free.

The festival was established to honor the history and culture of Jeju's Haenyeo (female diver). Since 2017, it has been held annually on Haenyeo Day. Visitors can try their hand at Haenyeo activities such as conch catching and bare-handed halibut catching. Additionally, various seafood dishes are available for sale around the venue, allowing you to enjoy fresh seafood at reasonable prices.

This is a mobile festival where you can enjoy various performances and experiences while walking the Jeju Olle Trail. Performances are held along the way, and events such as firefly painting and reusable bag making are also offered. The festival features one course per day, and the route changes each year. It's especially recommended for first-time travelers, as walking with a group makes the experience easier and more fun.

Paid participants receive a festival souvenir and program booklet, and free attendees are also welcome.

The fair is themed around Jeju's specialty, citrus. The fairgrounds feature a citrus exhibition hall, a citrus forest path, and a sales area. Visitors can enjoy activities like citrus picking, and making soap, candles, and cotton candy from citrus. There is also a variety of citrus-inspired dishes to try. With a low entrance fee, it's a great opportunity to experience and purchase fresh tangerines if you visit during this time of year.

The Camellia Festival is held at the Hueree Natural Life Park. The festival starts in November when the camellias bloom and runs until the flowers fade. There are Camellia Gardens and Camellia Olle Trails where you can fully enjoy the camellias. It is a popular place to take photos with the pink camellias in the background.

It is a New Year's festival held at Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone and starts two days before the New Year every year. During the festival, visitors can take part in various activities such as reading fortunes and writing their wishes on a postcard. On the last day of the festival, there is a countdown to the New Year, a moon house burning, and fireworks. On the morning of January 1, everyone gathers to climb Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone to watch the sunrise. However, the number of climbers is limited and tickets are given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so be sure to get there early.
