Discover a museum dedicated to Jeju Haenyeo
Established to preserve and pass on Jeju's Haenyeo culture, the museum offers a glimpse into the life and livelihood of Haenyeo through valuable artifacts, photos, and videos left behind by Haenyeo. There is also a Children Haenyeo Museum where children can touch and experience Haenyeo-themed playground equipment, making it an excellent place to take children.
The Jeju Haenyeo Festival is held every year at the end of September. The festival features a variety of events such as Haenyeo cultural performances, children's talent contests, and seafood auctions, as well as a one-day Haenyeo experience school and a variety of activities such as bare-handed halibut fishing.
