Incheon Airport and Seoul Station are connected by two types of trains: express trains and regular trains. The express train is about 15 minutes faster than the regular train, but it costs twice as much. If you take the express train from Incheon Airport to Seoul Station and then transfer to the subway, you can only exit through designated exits.
For the express train, you need to purchase a express train ticket. For regular trains, you can simply tap your transit card like you would on the subway. If you don't have a transportation card, you can buy a one-way ticket.

• As for a one-way ticket, you will receive a ₩500 refund upon returning the card.
• You can't use the climate card when boarding a train to Seoul from Incheon Airport. (However, you can use them when boarding a train to Incheon Airport from Seoul.)

Airport buses transport passengers from Incheon International Airport to various locations throughout Seoul. Several companies operate routes from Gimpo & Incheon Airport to downtown Seoul. Fares vary depending on the distance, and the buses are red and have numbers starting with 6000. Reservation through website is recommended, but you can just get on the bus and pay on-site if there're seats available. Must checking the departure time of your flight and the timetable in advance due to the infrequent bus schedule(runs every 25-30mins).
